On second thought...

Go ahead and let people ask me about the Taj.
I'll just explain that I'm Agra-phobic. (It's funny because it's true.)

Unrelatedly, K and I had a nice evening out tonight at a show by Edinburgh Fringe Festival comic John Hegley. At the interval, Hegley announced a ten-minute contest for the best poem about art, with the winner (decided by him) to get a copy of his book. Taking unfair advantage of my deep cultural knowledge of the Brits, and completely unafraid to pander shamelessly and cornily to my best guesstimate of the judge's sensibilities, I wrote:

There once was an artist named Dali,
Who managed to remain quite jolly.
When people complained
That his work was harebrained
He said, "lightbulb."

I took home the book.
