Heading for the hills

Sorry to be accidentally provocative and run, but K and I are outta here. Tomorrow morning, we're driving through the hinterlands to the highlands -- or it might be the reverse; I haven't found a good map yet -- and then we'll ditch the rental car and spend a week trying to make our way back home without recourse to non-human-powered transportation.

For us, that's a vacation.
