The hours are long; the pay, low; the work, dull; and, oh, yeah -- they're trying to kill you.
We had a bomb threat at work yesterday. It was fairly obviously a hoax -- at least, I'm hoping the appropriate people would notify me sooner than an hour later, via email, if it wasn't -- but I had more or less two minutes to come up with a plausible reason for our staff and patrons why our building was suddenly full of sniffer dogs, without triggering either mass panic or a newspaper story-- which would, doubtlessly, result in more bomb threats. Have I mentioned how happy I'll be when I'm no longer in charge?
